Today is Saturday, April 30, the last day of April in the year 2005. This month marks a step forward for SquirrelNet.com, since we established this blog to keep our site more up-to-date. The blog and SquirrelNet.com are integrated so that you can visit either one and get all the info you are looking to gather.
Importantly, SquirrelNet announced we'll be focusing more on education during the 2005-06 school year. This makes sense given that many of the more than one million visitors we've had over the past 5 years have been teachers, students, or parents of students.
We covered reference sites ConfusingWords.com and AMillionLives.com. In the search engine world, we posted statistics showing that Google and Yahoo are the most commonly used search engines and was one of the first blogs to post that Yahoo Mail is increasing its size to 1GB. We showed you some cool links such as Google's Earth Day homepage (which SquirrelNet loves due to the squirrels) and pics from Disneyland's 50th anniversary.
Also, SquirrelNet released our first newsletter in almost 3 years. We're sorry for the delay and promise to send out newsletters more regularly. Here's a link if you'd like to join. It's free and a good way to stay up-to-date. About 4500 from all around the world are members.
